Reader's opinion
Another engrossing read. Your St. Mere Eglise book is a highly detailed account of events which is visually stunning and reading that you just don't want to put down. Many thanks for the speedy delivery of yet another "AWESOME" book packed from cover to cover with incredible details and photographs about the reality of history. My quest to further my own collection of PIR patches and memorabilia has been fuelled greatly by your achievements.  Thank you for keeping alive the memory of those that gave so much for us all.
Ian Williams, UK

Having already bought copies of 'Forrest Guth' and 'Bob Piper' from the portrait series, I was excited at the prospect of recieving my recent order for 'St. Mere Eglise'. On opening the package realised that the excitement was indeed justified. I am absolutely delighted with this superb book. I am now greatly looking forward to the new Carentan book and also the new book about the Holland campaign. Thank You for the excellent, prompt service. Your books are both very informative and visually exciting.
Nick Barratt, United Kingdom

Thank you for your wonderful book. It arrived yesterday, and I thought I would spend a few minutes looking at it. You can guess that I couldn’t put it down until I had read all of it. There were all of the handsome young men I used to see, before the 505 went overseas. They were laughing and full of mischief. But then, as it happens in war, they were forged in the heat and hammering of Sicily and Italy. England reminded them of how life used to be, and they were young and resilient. They were all so young – even my dad. Those young men were, and always will be, my heroes.

Readers of Michel de Trez's books know that they are in for an absolute treat with this new book. Impeccably researched and fabulously illustrated, this latest massive book on our American Airborne forces is packed with an enormous amount of material on the operations, the soldiers, their uniforms and equipment. Michel de Trez has unique access to veteran`s archives as well as being a meticulous researcher. It is unlikely there will ever be another book on Sainte Mere Eglise which is so well researched and presented.

"Je viens d'acheter ton livre sur Ste Mère Eglise et tiens à te féliciter de l'excellence de ce travail... Quelle surprise mais surtout quel plaisir de tourner les pages et découvrir tant de photos inédites et d'une telle qualité d'un seul coup ! Vraiment, un remarquable travail, du vrai boulot de pro... ce qui nous change de quelques publications qui ont profité de la vague 6/6/04.
Encore bravo pour ton remarquable travail..."

"After a thorough review of Michel Detrez's new book, SAINTE-MERE-EGLISE PHOTOGRAPHS OF D-DAY. I have the following observations to make.
I have found the book to be the most comprehensive collection of photographs on the WWII battle for this town ever compiled. The author does not kid around when he makes the claim than most of the photos in the book are never before seen. The photos are magnificent and depict mostly 505ers in and around the town. I would recommend anyone to make the investment and buy this book, especially if you portray a 505er Normandy impressions.
I really enjoyed this book.  I would recommend it to anyone with a passion for the 505th PIR, as I do."
Juan Carlos Gonzalez, USA

I am so proud to have him included. I'm so grateful that you found my little book and contacted me. You have expanded both my knowledge and my dad's reputation. Thanks again."

"Hello my name is Mike O'Sullivan, I don't know if your remember me but I am the 16 year old who sent you an email a few months ago telling you of my great enthusiasm toward your books. I wanted to thank you for sending me the tactical map of Sainte Mere Eglise and the signed book on the cricket and the cricket itself. When I opened up the package from you I was completely shocked and extermely grateful for the items that you sent, it really meant a lot to me. It was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done to me. For Christmas I picked up a copy of "At the Point of No Return" and the portrait series on Forrest Guth. I just wanted to say that I was very impressed and blown away by each book's depth and great amount of research. They were amazing. I can't wait to pick up the rest of the portrait series novels as well as all your other books, keep up the fantastic work and thank you for caring so much about the men that many have forgotten. Thank you so much, keep publishing books, and have a very prosperous new year."
Mike O'Sullivan, USA

While strolling down memory lane and without going into any lengthy details, but looking back you can see we have had a very busy year. To review it, let's go back to Don's 60th Anniversary European Tour.  His one group alone would consist of 8 busloads of people which many were our 505 members. The high point of this tour would be the Greatest Generation Exhibit celebrated at Ste Mere Eglise.
"Our Books." Michel DeTrez:  Belgium, Who would head up The Greatest Generation Exhibit held in Ste Mere Eglise. Here he would introduce three of his books in the 505 RCT Portrait Series about our Col. Piper, Col Vanderoort and Doc McIlvoy, along with a terrific book titled Ste Mere Eglise.
Chris Christensen, 505 PIR association, USA

I recently purchased from you the excellent book, "Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Photographs of D Day", I was extremely impressed with the quality of this superb work and the great photos.
